Oxford
6th - 8th December, 2011
Because it was about time! We took a little break in the middle of the working week, just the two of us. To switch off mobile phones (it was only allowed whilst the other one was on toilet) and brain and eat loads of carbs and chocolate cake and pour a vanila ice cream over it (yes I did), and of course an abundance of mulled bevarages.
We stayed in the most peculiar Bed and Breakfast for serial killers. Morning breakfast in total silence in what must have been a living room of the owners, cramped together with other guests and served beans by deeply confused german-turkish woman, surrounded by paintings with a 'mountain expeditions' theme, meaning climbers and carriers on the rope bridge, climbers and carriers in the jungle, climbes and carriers on the snow covered slopes.
Our shower was too noisy, the bed too soft, and above a reproduction of a Venice scenery, which is funny cause not so long ago we actually lived in a similar tiny little room in hostel in the middle of Venice and seen this scenery outside our window.

We had a coffee, a lot, we went to lunch, we went to an empty botanical garden, we went to the cinema and ate fastfood treats there, and had a romantic moment in the evening in our room, drinking cheap Sainsbury wine and watching a fascinating documentary about rotting food.
But we talked a lot. And I loved that. Adam is fun. A good company and culprit. And he seems at peace and happy lately...And that's why you need to recharge batteries like this from time to time.
