Se Mouiller
In many many years of these type of experiences, I grew to fully accept that when I am involved, even the simple things like meeting friends in park usually turn out to go completely pear-shaped.
But I admit even after Klara being hit by a car last week on our perfectly peaceful mindfulness cycling trip, I still wasn't prepared to severity with which the sky decided to literally spit in my face this time around.
I've met Nuno for a morning swim at the Brockwell Lido and later Karolina and Juju for a chat, pulled pork, drinks and strolling around the Lambeth Country Show in Brockwell Park, which somehow bizarrely managed to join poultry and rabbit exhibitions with reggae gigs.
Well maybe it was due to this deadly combination that the weather decided to intervene and we got caught up in what was the most horrendous torrential rain outbreak in my entire life.
In a few seconds we went from this...
to this...
Huddled under a single umbrella (yes, all of us living in London for about five years and more, yet we only carried ONE umbrella to this outing) and laughing manically (cause the only other option was to cry like a baby) we somehow managed to get on a bus to mine, where I forced Nuno and Karolina to wear my clothes, whilst their attire was drying next to the electric fireplace. I fixed them an improvised dinner, tea and we all watched What Lies Beneath, and melted away.
It's been incredibly awful, but than again..without this little relentless karma attempts to bring at least a little disaster into my day, we would have never experienced the gratitude and happiness of having a shelter, dry socks and a sofa, with Harrison Ford going all psycho on Michelle Pfeiffer.
