On The Final New Moon of 2025 & Why I Support a Mass Delusion
So, this might be an unpopular take. Everyone hypes up Capricorn Season as the “New Year, New Me” time. But honestly, I have always thought of that goats-climbing-mountains Capricorn energy that closes out our calendar year as something different. It’s less about dreaming and more of a detached, practical survival mechanism to help us navigate the nervous system attack that is “The Fucking Holidays”.. you know the drill: the family dynamics, the emotional heaviness, the logistical nightmares and the pressure to have a “Happy New Year” when you just want to nap.
The icky taking stock of past failures and deciding which weight-loss goals we’re carrying into another year with a ‘but I do love myself as I am’ caveat. We will, of course, be wildly unsuccessful again, but that’s a-ok, that’s just a symptom of existing inside an image obsessed and wildly delusional (Neptune in Pisces era that’s coming to an end - hallelujah - early 2026) human society, that delegated most of their lived experience to the world wide web and the tyranny of the screens.
Capricorn helps us emotionally dissociate just enough to get the job done.
But Sagittarius? That is where the real magic happens.
Sagittarius is the unbridled, optimistic adventurer who truth-tells their way through dinner and then books a one-way ticket to somewhere unpronounceable. It is the energy we actually need to dream wildly for the horizons we want to reach in 2026. While Capricorn manages the spreadsheet, Sagittarius is the one aiming the arrow at the stars, daring to ask
“What if it could be better than this?”
That’s why I think it’s under this New Moon in Sagittarius (arriving December 19th/20th) we should all be dreaming up, shaping up, getting a feel for our future ambitions and then releasing them galloping towards the wildest horizons.
We are closing out 2025, a year fully intended for history books, with a feral, fiery bang. Chances are, if you dared to open any online News outlet these days, you’ve seen the Sag ferocious preachy truth-finding skills at play. And we’ll be applying the same forward momentum to our own personal experience.
To keep you from spiraling into the void without a map, I have crafted a fully rounded New Moon in Sag Ritual. It’s got a guided meditation journey (so you don’t have to dissociate alone), an original tarot spread, deep journaling excavations to help you dig up the gold & some gentle magic to let your imagination gallop away, or rather - ahead.
Because if we don’t dream it now, we can’t build it later.

Fire, Fog and Friction (but also Freedom?)
Here is some tea on the current sky weather… As we are wrapping up storylines that have played out over the last year and preparing our spirits for the massive shifts of 2026, the Moon and Sun are squaring Saturn and Neptune in Pisces.
If Sagittarius is the party animal shouting “Anything is possible! Let’s have another shot!”, Saturn is the bouncer checking ID, Neptune is the fog machine making it hard to find the exit. This aspect brings a tension between our wildest ideals and cold, hard reality. You might feel a clash between your optimism and your responsibilities. Or between your truth and your confusion. The medicine here is faith over fear.
We are being asked to dissolve the delusions that keep us small while building a structure that can actually support our massive dreams.
The ruler of this moon is Jupiter, currently retrograde in Cancer. So, while our heads are in the Sagittarian clouds, our ruler is swimming in the emotional depths of home, family and everything else that keeps us safe and give us a sense of belonging.
This means our expansion is an inside job first. We have to feel safe in our bodies and our emotions to take the big leaps. It’s about “retrograding” back into our roots to find the fuel for the future.
It’s not all heavy lifting though! The New Moon is snuggling up with Venus (love/beauty & our value systems) and Juno (commitment, partnership ideals and dynamics). There is a passionate, relational fire here. We aren’t just dreaming of careers or travel but also of who is running alongside us, who do we share the saddle and the lust for the same horizon with!
It makes this new moon a potent time for setting intentions around partnerships that honour your freedom and your heart.

🔥♈️💪 Aries Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at your 9th House of belief, travel, higher wisdom. You are in your element, Aries. This moon is trining your Ascendant, giving you a cosmic green light to expand your horizons. You are rethinking your entire philosophy on life. Whether it’s booking that trip, signing up for that course or just admitting that your old worldview is too small for who you are becoming, it’s time to aim higher.
The Twist: With Jupiter in your 4th house, this adventure changes your definition of “home” and emotional security.
♉️🌿💰 Taurus Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at the 8th House of intimacy, transformation and shared resources. This is the deep end of the pool for you, Taurus. And no, you may not pretend the earthly material possessions aren’t the whole of the picture for you. Remember, this moon is about radical honesty and it forces you to shed your skin.
It asks you to get real about what you value, who you trust and where you are merging your energy. It’s a time to release financial fears or intimacy blocks that keep you from feeling powerful.
The Twist: Jupiter in your 3rd house suggests the breakthrough comes through a conversation or a shift in mindset you didn’t see coming. Honesty & openness seems to be called for here. How can you get there without catching fire?
♊️🗣️💡 Gemini Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at the 7th House of relationships and contracts. Love, business partners and open enemies (hopefully less of the latter). You are hitting the reset button on how you relate to others. With the square to Saturn/Neptune in your career sector, you might feel the tension between your professional dreams and your relationship reality.
The Twist: Jupiter in your 2nd house means that the right partnerships will ultimately boost your self-worth and your bank account. Keep your eyes and heart wide open for signs of what and who you feel safe to get stupidly excited about!
🦀🏠🌙 Cancer Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at the 6th House of daily grind, health and routine. You are rewriting the script on your day-to-day life. If your routine is draining your soul, this moon is the wake-up call. It’s time to inject some Sagittarian joy into the mundane. Get a new job, or rather - dream up all that a new more fulfilling job could be. Start a new health protocol or just stop answering emails after 5 PM.
The Twist: Jupiter in your 1st house (your sign!) is giving you a massive glow-up. Trust your own expansion & the work will follow.
🦁☀️👑 Leo Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at the 5th House of romance, creativity and play. This is a fire trine to your soul, Leo. You are being asked to birth something new, whether that’s a creative project, a romance or just a renewed sense of joy - this moon is your friendly fuck yes to all of the above! The Saturn square might make you feel like the “fun” has to be serious or structured, but don’t let it kill your vibe.
The Twist: Jupiter in your 12th house suggests your muse is hiding in your subconscious. Dream work and solitude(the horror!) will fuel your public creativity. Dream journal like you’re paid to do it. Script or sketch out your best year ahead and resist showing your notes to anyone!
♍️🌿📚 Virgo Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at the 4th House of home, family and roots. You are digging up the floorboards, Virgo. This moon is about emotional foundations. Maybe you’re moving, renovating or just setting boundaries with family just in time for the festive massacre. It’s squaring your Ascendant, so it might feel like a push-and-pull, but it’s necessary for your growth. This new moon is not about being of service and people-pleasing anyone but yourself. Allow for (what you perceive as) selfishness to take reign and see where it takes you in dreaming up a future that feels as delicious and expansive as you deserve!
The Twist: Jupiter in your 11th house means your friends and networks are the support system you need while you sort out the domestic chaos.
♎️⚖️💖 Libra Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at the 3rd House of communication, siblings, local environment. And no biggie, but your mind is on fire. Isn’t it? Isn’t it hungry for new ideas, new skills, new conversations. Something is smelling stale and your soul is demanding a new set of stimuli. So, this is the perfect time to launch a podcast, write the book (something I suspect keeps coming around for lots of you, Libras!) or just speak your truth even if your voice shakes.
Watch out for burnout with that Saturn square in your health house. Rest your brain occasionally.
The Twist: Jupiter in your 10th house links these new ideas directly to your career expansion. Speak up, the boss is listening. Dream up in great details a new exciting direction of your career or wild new ways of producing money whilst also feeling fulfilled personally - RADICAL!
♏️🔥🔮 Scorpio Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at the 2nd House of money, values and self-worth. Show me the money, Scorpio. You are setting intentions for financial abundance, but in true Sag style, it has to align with your ethics and your freedom. You are done working for peanuts or compromising your values. If your attempt to be seen and valued in this swamp of late-stage capitalism failed recently, this is your time to dream up about ways your recognition & bank account could blow up and glow up in the ways that makes you stupidly excited. Write seven different versions of how this could happen, however detached from reality they may seem at this exact moment. You are planting little seeds. In the coming weeks and months, some of them might take.
The Twist: Jupiter in your 9th house says that wealth comes through expanding your mind through travel, education, even teaching is your golden ticket here. The horizon literally beckons, keep your ears open for its call, and your passport up to date, please!
🏹♐️🌲 Sagittarius Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at the 1st House of identity and self. Happy Birthday season, you wild things. This is your New Moon. You are shedding the old skins of 2025 and stepping into a version of yourself that feels more authentic, more free.. and frankly, more loud. Good! The square to Saturn might feel like family responsibilities are trying to dampen your shine, but you are the main character right now. Act like it.
The Twist: Jupiter in your 8th house suggests this rebirth is emotionally deep. Expect to feel a push-pull between the urge to sprint forward into a bold new chapter and the need to retreat into your shell to process heavy emotions or transform fears around intimacy and vulnerability. Both can happen at the same time! Be brave!
🐐♑️🌍 Capricorn Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at the 12th House of subconscious, spirituality - and yes, even endings. You are in the cosmic waiting room, Capricorn. Before your season starts, the universe is asking you to rest, dream, to clear out the spiritual mess left behind the sofa. Pay attention to your dreams and intuition now, you probably can’t afford not to - they are louder than usual. Think of this as a detox before the birthday party.
The Twist: Jupiter in your 7th house means a partner (business or romantic) might be the one holding the space for you to finally let go and rest. Lean in.
🏺♒️💨 Aquarius Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at the 11th House of community, hopes and dreams. Who are your people, Aquarius? This moon is refreshing your social circles and your long-term vision. You are realizing that you can’t save the world (or manifest your dreams) alone. Connect with the weirdos and the visionaries who fuel your fire. Dream up the wildest hopes for a supportive community, script it out, cherish this vision - in the big rebirth coming for all of us in the next couple of years, our communities are literally the one thing that will keep us alive & thriving!
The Twist: Jupiter in your 6th house says that these big dreams need practical daily habits to actually work. Collaborative work projects are extra favored!
🐟♓️🌊 Pisces Sun & Rising
The Arrow: aims at the 10th House of career and public reputation. You are stepping into the spotlight. This New Moon is a massive seed planted in your professional life. Whether you are launching a business or aiming for a promotion, the world is watching. What facet of your glorious mysterious self will you present up for the world’s review this time? With Saturn in your 1st house squaring this moon, the pressure is on, but so is the reward. You are building a legacy.
The Twist: Jupiter in your 5th house reminds you that if it isn’t fun or creative, it isn’t worth building. Bring your joy to the boardroom (bedroom?)
