Aries x Full Moon: Embracing Bold Transformations

Below is an excerpt from my 'Libra Season Workbook' available HERE.

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
— Anaïs Nin

As the lunar curtain rises on 17th of October, we’re not just witnessing another Full Moon in Aries; we’re experiencing the grand finale of eclipse season—a culmination that feels a bit like popping the cork on a shaken-up bottle of champagne. Imagine all the cosmic intensity from the past few weeks finally finding its release, bubbling over and making a mess in the best, most cleansing way possible.

This Full Moon is the last supermoon of the year and a Hunter’s Moon, carrying with it a primal, fierce energy that’s about to burst forth. All that eclipse energy has been simmering, stewing, and fermenting, and now, just like that cork, it’s ready to go off. And if you’ve noticed a string of unpredictable happenings lately, you’re not alone. Eclipse season always has a way of throwing curveballs—think sudden breakups, bizarrely-timed job losses, mysterious illnesses, and near-misses that leave you reeling. And all of that necessary but highly activating chaos that did not get a chance to spill over our carefully constructed safety barriers yet, will now forcibly pummel through the eclipse door before it closes on Thursday.

Just last week, I heard from a friend who's beloved pet's been diagnosed with a bladder tumor, another one was unexpectedly let go from a job she thought was rock-solid, third ones family got shaken up by a nasty medical diagnosis, there is also an engagement that's been called off and just a few days ago my friend Irena got literally knocked down by a car on her peaceful morning bike ride (she's bruised, but thankfully ok! Her expensive electric bike is not).

So, if you’ve been walking around feeling like you’re carrying an energetic live wire, that’s the eclipse residue talking. This Aries Full Moon is like a cosmic broom, sweeping out whatever we couldn’t let go of on our own. It’s both a release and a reset, asking us to confront what’s been left unresolved.

Aries’ Call to Action: Courage, Conflict, and Change

Aries isn’t one to sit around waiting for things to happen, and this Full Moon is all about action. This fiery lunation connects with Mars, the go-getter of the cosmos, encouraging us to shake off any lingering doubts, embrace our power, and act on what we’ve been holding back. If you’ve been feeling stuck, this is your push to get moving—after all, Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, representing that spark of life, that loud and proud “I am!” Energy is high, forward momentum uncontainable and patience? Left behind on the rocket launch pad, burned in the ignition fire.

It’s likely that this Full Moon will dredge up all sorts of emotions that have been lying dormant, lingering since the start of eclipse season. Old frustrations may bubble to the surface, and with Aries ruling the head and Mars in the mix, we could be in for a lot of impulsive actions and heated words.

With the Sun in Libra and the Moon in Aries, the stage is set on the classic axis of “Me vs. We.” The spotlight is on self-discovery, but not without a dash of diplomacy. Aries charges ahead with a battle cry of “I am!” while Libra, ever the peacekeeper, says, “Yes, but let’s all play nice, shall we?” Think of it as a cosmic dance-off between Mars, the hot-headed warrior, and Venus, the gracious diplomat. So yes, you might feel torn between asserting yourself and keeping the peace—but hey, isn’t that what life’s about?

Venus in Sagittarius: Lighting Up Love and Adventure

The fiery fun doesn’t end there. Also on 17th October, Venus leaves intense Scorpio behind and dances into optimistic Sagittarius, infusing us with a renewed sense of adventure in our relationships and personal pursuits. Venus in Sagittarius invites us to take life a little less seriously, to seek joy, laughter, and expansion in love. It’s a time for embracing new horizons, letting go of past hurts, and savoring a lighthearted approach to romance and self-discovery.

This Sagittarian influence reminds us that life is meant to be explored. There’s a confidence and resilience here—no more hiding or shrinking. It’s time to stand tall and set our sights on new possibilities. Under this influence, we might decide it’s time to chase a dream, plan a trip, or simply allow our hearts to follow a more adventurous path. Venus in Sagittarius is about embracing freedom, so if you’ve felt stifled or stuck lately, take this as your invitation to shake things up.

Pluto Retrograde in Capricorn and Global Shifts

Meanwhile, we’re still under the heavy influence of Pluto retrograde in Capricorn, which has been peeling back layers, asking us to look deeper at power structures in our lives. Pluto is the planet of transformation, and Capricorn’s influence means this is hitting at the core of our careers, authority figures, and societal systems. From high-stakes elections in US (GO VOTE!) to Elon Musk’s latest robotic endeavors (his latest proposal includes an ambition for every one of 8 billion people on Earth buying his Tesla Optimus robot to fold our laundry, walk our dogs, babysit our kids - I AM NOT JOKING, possibly to clear more time for doom-scrolling on his antisocial media platform, getting tricked into purchasing more shit we don't need), we’re seeing pivotal moments in history unfold. It’s a period where we can sense that we’re on the cusp of a new era—one that’s likely to bring profound changes in how we view technology, authority, and even our own humanity.

We’ll look back on this time as a milestone: pre- and post-robotics, the era before certain powers shifted. Pluto’s slow grind through Capricorn reminds us that transformation is rarely quick or easy, and it’s often necessary to dismantle old structures before building new ones. This energy will continue to ripple through our personal lives, asking us where we need to let go, transform, and rebuild with a stronger foundation.

"What we fear of doing most is usually what we most need to do."
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Your Cosmic Guide: How to Navigate This Full Moon in Aries

The Aries Full Moon is intense, fiery, and charged with a sense of urgency. Here are a few ways to navigate this powerful lunation:

  • Move Your Body: Channel Aries’ headstrong energy through physical movement. Go for a run, dance around, or hit the gym. Physical activity helps burn off some of that excess fire without resorting to conflict.
  • Speak Your Truth (But Pause First): This Moon is perfect for expressing what’s been bottled up. Just remember to take a breath before you say something you can’t unsay. Honesty is great, but there’s no need for regret.
  • Embrace Release and Renewal: Take time to let go of anything that’s no longer serving you. Clear out the clutter, both physical and emotional. Aries asks us to lighten our load so we can move forward more freely.
  • Lean Into Adventure: With Venus in Sagittarius, give yourself permission to explore. Whether it’s a creative project, a road trip, or just a new perspective, allow yourself to embrace a fresh start and welcome the unexpected.

Here’s a quick look at what this Full Moon means for each sign and how to make the most of it:

  • Aries (1st House: Self)
Aries, this is your time to shine! The spotlight’s on you, so step into your power and show the world who you really are. People might find you a bit extra right now, but hey, subtlety has never been your strong suit. Embrace it! Just make sure you’re standing tall for what you truly want, not just reacting impulsively. Take a risk, but consider the outcome first—you can be bold and strategic.

  • Taurus (12th House: Subconscious)
Taurus, it’s time to channel your inner detective and dive into the depths of your mind. There’s some old baggage weighing you down, and this Full Moon is your cosmic invitation to let it go. Start a meditation practice, or just take a luxurious bubble bath while you reflect. You may be tempted to retreat into your cozy shell, but remember: a little self-reflection now means more stability later. Get rid of what doesn’t serve you anymore—it’s freeing, I promise.

  • Gemini (11th House: Community)
Gemini, this Full Moon is asking you to take a good look at your social circles. Are you hanging with the right crowd? If not, it might be time to branch out. Aries energy is all about being proactive, so go ahead and initiate new connections. Attend that event, join a group, or start a conversation with someone intriguing. You’ll find that your community is ready to grow as you do. And remember: small talk is just a gateway to the bigger, more meaningful stuff.

  • Cancer (10th House: Career)
Cancer, things are heating up in your career zone! Whether it’s a project, promotion, or potential career shift, this Full Moon is lighting a fire under you to make some moves. Don’t be afraid to step up and take on a leadership role—even if it feels daunting. You’re naturally nurturing, but now’s the time to channel that energy into something that benefits you professionally. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to go for it, consider this your sign.

  • Leo (9th House: Philosophy)
Leo, this is your cosmic green light to explore something new. The Full Moon in Aries is giving you the go-ahead to broaden your horizons. If you’ve been craving adventure, it’s time to book that trip or dive into a new subject. Feed your mind with fresh ideas, or maybe even start that book you’ve been meaning to write. Remember, learning doesn’t always have to be serious—it can be playful too! Follow whatever sparks your curiosity, and let the journey unfold.

  • Virgo (8th House: Transformation)
Virgo, you’re in for some intense self-reflection. This Full Moon is digging up all sorts of feelings related to intimacy and transformation. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself needing to let go of something—or someone—that’s holding you back. Take this opportunity to confront any lingering emotional baggage. Embrace the changes that come; transformation isn’t easy, but you’ll come out on the other side stronger and wiser. And hey, decluttering the soul can feel as satisfying as cleaning out a closet.

  • Libra (7th House: Relationships)
Libra, the spotlight is on your relationships, and things might feel a little more intense than usual. This Full Moon is here to highlight both the good and the bad, so take a good look at your partnerships. Are they balanced, or is there room for improvement? Have those heart-to-heart conversations, even if they feel uncomfortable. It’s time to assert your needs and make sure you’re getting as much as you’re giving. You deserve relationships that lift you up, not weigh you down.

  • Scorpio (6th House: Health and Routine)
Scorpio, this Full Moon is shining a light on your daily habits. Are you treating your body like the powerhouse it is? If not, it’s time to shake things up. Focus on routines that actually energize and support you. Maybe try a new workout, or finally get into that morning ritual you’ve been considering. The goal is to set up habits that make you feel alive and ready to conquer each day. Little changes now will ripple out in big ways later—don’t underestimate the power of small steps.

  • Sagittarius (5th House: Creativity)
Sagittarius, get ready to unleash your creative side! The Full Moon is lighting up your house of fun and self-expression, urging you to do something you’re passionate about. Whether it’s a hobby, an art project, or a playful new venture, let yourself dive in. Don’t hold back—this is about enjoying the process, not worrying about the end result. Aries energy will encourage you to be bold, so go ahead and experiment. Who knows? You might just surprise yourself.

  • Capricorn (4th House: Home)
Capricorn, this Full Moon brings your focus to home and family. It’s time to take a look at your foundations. Do you feel supported? Are there things you need to address at home? It could be anything from tackling a household project to having a long-overdue talk with a family member. The aim is to create a space that nurtures you. Take this time to ground yourself and make your home a true sanctuary—you’ve earned it.

  • Aquarius (3rd House: Communication)
Aquarius, this lunation highlights your communication sector, and you might find that you’ve got a lot to say. This is your chance to express yourself clearly, so don’t hold back. Reach out to people you’ve been meaning to connect with, or get vocal about something that matters to you. You’ve got a way with words right now, and people are listening. Remember, honest conversations build bridges, so go ahead and share what’s on your mind.

  • Pisces (2nd House: Values)
Pisces, the Full Moon is asking you to reflect on what truly matters to you. Your values and resources are in focus, so take a look at where you’re investing your time, energy, and money. Are these things aligned with who you want to be? This is a great moment to let go of anything that’s not supporting your dreams. Be bold about what you want and practical about how you’ll get there. It’s time to prioritize the things that bring you joy and peace.

As the Aries Full Moon rises, it offers us a chance to let go, speak up, and move forward with the strength of knowing that we’re stepping into a new chapter. This isn’t just the end of eclipse season; it’s the start of something more. Embrace the fire, ignite your inner courage, and get ready to write the next part of your story.
