A Feral Guide to What to Build & What to Burn Down This Capricorn Full Moon
"The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself." — Anna Quindlen
I’m tired. Like, one more devastating news headline away from lying down in the forest, inviting the moss & fungi to consume my body and becoming a part of it, tired. The last few weeks have been a goddamn lightning storm. And it carries a potent electric current. It’s bone-deep tiredness whilst simultaneously being constantly activated by defibrillation pads. It’s like surviving a no-sleep weekend at Glastonbury festival, shaking with exhaustion but remaining wide-awake and unable to sleep thanks to the dangerous amounts of (ahem)energy drinks still fizzing through your veins.
We just collectively plugged into Great Rewiring - the monumental, system-glitching entry of Uranus into Gemini - and the air still smells like ozone and burnt toast. It's been a cocktail of chaotic information & a general feeling that the simulation is buffering. We are being served shocking developments, but somehow they seem like lazy scriptwriting. Didn’t that shit with Ted Cruz leaving on vacation just when Texas gets hit by a natural disaster happen already before? Didn’t we already do the whole Epstein’s client list upheaval, gaslighting & denial? Another Hegseth’s fuck-up, another round of delayed tarrifs, oh and what a shocker, Twitter and its AI trust-fall into open fascism.
Excuse me, but all of this shit is a storyline that’s been done before, right?
Yep, very that. The simulation is stuck in a vicious and deeply exhausting loop. We’re asked to rise up, to take a stand, to march out & join the fight, we’re stirred to rage against the Right or rage against the Left, but it seems the simulation is running out of ideas. How can you get stirred to action by a confusing, repeated cycle of bullshit stories? You don’t. You pass out on the sofa instead.
But alas. Now, into this electric pandemonium, the cosmos drops a stark, cold & profoundly grounding anchor.
No two Full Moons are ever the same. A Full Moon always storms into the polar opposite sign of the Sun, showing up in the context of the season not just to be contrary, but to offer a cosmic counterbalance - a necessary antidote, and sometimes, a full-on, sobering slap in the face to pull us back to reality.
And this Full Moon in Capricorn on July 10th is the cosmic comedown after the rave. The Sun is still having a party with a box of tissues & old family albums (or those YouTube rescue dogs makeover videos). It’s declaring the-home-is-where-I-unravel-&-no-one-will-judge-me-for-it-thank-you-very-much via the sensitive sign of Cancer.
So, to balance out all that delicious, swampy emotion, the universe delivers this Full Moon in Capricorn on July 10th as a get-of-the-couch, structural energy of ambition, discipline & emotional maturity that reminds us we can’t just feel our feelings, we have to build something with them .
Capricorn moon is a pissed off parent who walks in at 3 AM, flips on the harsh overhead lights & demands: "So, who's going to clean up this mess?"
No two Full Moons are ever the same. They are not isolated events - they are drenched in the astrological weather surrounding them. This Full Moon arrives on the precipice of a massive retrograde pile-up.
Neptune, the great cosmic ghost, is already swimming backward in Aries since July 4th. This is when the beautiful, Instagram-filtered fog of our ideals begins to burn off, revealing the harsh, pixelated reality underneath . It’s a collective and deep urge to unknow all the fucked-up shit we've learned this year, to dissociate entirely . But its real magic is in the revision: it’s our chance to re-examine the stories and beliefs we’ve been clinging to and see if they still hold up after the recent cosmic demolition.
Saturn, the ruler of this very moon, stations retrograde just three days later on July 13th, followed by Mercury going retrograde in dramatic-ass Leo on July 18th (hi Mercury in Leo, that's gonna be a fucking vibe. Or the end of one, rather). We are already swimming in the pre-shadow quicksand. And on top of that, as always:
Full moon illuminates.
Think of it as the harsh, buzzing glare of that single lamp they turn on your face in an interrogation room in some shitty cop movie. It's designed to make you sweat, to make you confess, to make it impossible to hide from your own damn truth.
Honestly, it feels like the universe just handed all of us a stained, coffee-ringed folder of our own bullshit and a cheap red pen. It's forcing a hard audit of our ambitions, our sketchy-as-hell structures, and our integrity before the real work of taking it all apart and rebuilding begins.
DADDY ISSUES & COUNTDOWN TO DETONATION
Every lunation has its own unique flavor, and this one tastes like iron and earth. It has teeth. They are sharp.
Mars itself is in the meticulous sign of Virgo, forming a near-perfect, flowing trine to the Full Moon. This is a blessing. It’s the universe providing the energy of strategic, laser-focused, "get shit done" action to support whatever emotional truths are being revealed. Mars in Virgo doesn't fuck around. It analyzes the problem, makes a plan, and executes with precision. This is the energy you have on your side.
All Capricorn Full Moons come with a touch of "daddy issues." Capricorn is ruled by Saturn: the cosmic taskmaster, the lord of karma, time, and boundaries. Saturn is the energy of facing the consequences of your choices & growing through that process. And the biggest story of this Full Moon is that its ruler,
Saturn, is practically standing still in the sky, preparing to station retrograde in Aries just a couple of days later.
When a planet stations, its energy is incredibly potent, like a car engine revving right before it shifts gears. Saturn stationing retrograde in Aries is a major re-evaluation of our courage, our ambitions, our anger & the very foundations we’ve been trying to build since late May.
This Full Moon is the final exam before that long review period begins. It will illuminate exactly what part of your life needs to be restructured.
So pay attention to where the light and the shadow fall. Don’t flinch. Don’t fucking blink. Take in the ugly, the uncomfortable, the undeniable truth of it all.
Because one way or another, whatever shows up now as being built on insufficient, unsafe, or toxic foundations will come down. Saturn rules The Tower card in tarot for a reason. He will hit your shit with a lightning bolt, and the whole collapse will feel much, much worse if you try to resist it or pretend you don’t see the cracks.
So, observe. And start moving your precious stuff out before the walls come falling down.
GLOBAL REALITY BITES
On a global scale, this Full Moon puts a harsh spotlight on our leaders, governments, and top-down corporate structures. Capricorn rules the establishment. With its ruler Saturn going retro on us, we can expect major directional shifts and reckonings for those in power.
- 💼 The Great Resignation 2.0: the next two weeks, our work, our health, our soul-crushing obligations are up for review. Mars is now in Virgo (the sign of work and labor, healthcare), flashing at the Capricorn Moon (big business) a neon sign for shake-ups in the job market. On July 21st, we get the story's climax when Mars conjuncts the South Node in Virgo. This is the "fuck this" moment. The Full Moon reveals the soul-deep dissatisfaction with the job, and the Mars conjunction 11 days later is the transit that actually signs the resignation letter, has the explosive fight with the boss, or ruthlessly cuts a bad habit.Expect news of major layoffs, worker revolts, or a collective table flip as people re-evaluate whether their jobs are actually providing long-term security.
- 🗣️ Wounded Leaders: The Full Moon squares off with Chiron, the wounded healer, in Aries. This puts leaders and authority figures in the hot seat, forcing them to confront the "wounds" their actions and ambitions have caused. It's an energy of public accountability, where the people demand to know why the so-called heroes have failed them. Spoiler alert - they were never heroes to begin with.
- 🏛️ The Responsibility Deficit: Look for stories in the news about governments or corporations that have "bitten off more than they can chew" and are now facing the consequences of their overreach and lack of realistic planning. Or competency. For details, see full top-to-bottom Trump 2.0 administration.
🛠️ YOUR SURVIVAL KIT FOR THIS COSMIC REALITY CHECK 🛠️
"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." — Anaïs Nin
Navigating this sobering energy doesn't have to be a drag. It's about strategic action, not self-flagellation.
- 🐐 Embrace the Boring Bits: Balance your checkbook. Clean your desk. Make a realistic to-do list. The universe is rewarding discipline and structure right now. It's not sexy, but it's what works. I cleaned my house top to bottom yesterday, and now my lower back is fucked, but I feel accomplished. Did I have fun? No. But I feel like a functioning (minus the lower back) grown-up!
- 🧱 Get Real with Your Foundations: Where are the cracks? Is your career built on a solid foundation of purpose, or is it just for status? Is your home a true sanctuary, or just a place you crash? This moon illuminates the structural integrity of your life. Don't be afraid to see the flaws.
- 🗣️ Have the Hard Conversation: With the moon feeling isolated in Capricorn, our instinct can be to shut down emotionally. Resist it. If something ugly comes up, be it inner or outer critic, insecurities, headtrips - talk about it. Write about it. Face it & be done with it.
- 🚫 Know Your Fucking Limits: Don't volunteer for the extra project. Don't promise what you can't deliver. This is a time to be brutally realistic about your own capacity. Saying "no" is a sacred Saturnian act. If your lower back is fucked, putting your feet up and binging true crime documentaries is not an indulgence, it’s a necessity!
✍️ SACRED HOMEWORK FOR THE BOSS-UP ✍️
- The Blueprint Audit: Look at one major goal in your life (career, relationship, etc.). What's the plan? Is there even a plan? Do you (like me) feel incredibly activated & annoyed when someone asks you (even if lovingly): what’s the plan now? Who in your life makes you feel like you must constantly defend your every life choice?
- The Responsibility Roster: Make a list of all the things and people you feel responsible for. Now, cross off one thing that is not actually your burden to carry. Feel the lightness.
- The Boundary Clause: Write a "contract with yourself." What is one non-negotiable boundary you need to set to protect your time, energy, and sanity? Sign it. And when mum calls - AGAIN - dare not pick up.
- The Legacy Question: What are you building that will outlast you? It doesn't have to be a skyscraper. It could be a skill, a garden, piece of art, a way you have touched someone so deeply, they will carry your memory within their heart forever. What are you building that has integrity?

I crafted this meditation for the exact volatile astrological times we're experiencing in July 2025.
With Uranus in Gemini, we're navigating a period of intense, rapid change and unpredictable shifts, both globally and personally. This transit can leave us feeling antsy, overstimulated, and searching for stability amidst the chaos.
So, if you're feeling frayed, frazzled, or frankly, like you might spontaneously combust, I've cooked up something just for you. It's a guided meditation. But again, not the spa-music-and-whispering-platitudes kind.
This is for us. The ones who need their spirituality raw, real, and with a bit of bite.
Your grouding awaits HERE.

✨ YOUR CELESTIAL ROADMAP: SIGN-BY-SIGN GUIDE ✨
Alright, let's get personal. This Full Moon doesn’t rise in a vacuum - no lunation ever does. It arrives hot on the heels of the biggest astrological shake-up of the decade: Uranus doing its chaotic flip into Gemini.
For the last seven years, since 2018, Uranus has been running a riot through the part of your chart ruled by earthy, stable Taurus. It was a seismic, seven-year-long earthquake designed to shatter your foundations in that area of living reality.
Now that the devastation and rebuilding of that cycle is finishing, the typhoon of Uranus moves to the part of your chart ruled by Gemini, launching another seven-year period of radical reinvention.
So for each sign below, we're doing a full 360-degree diagnosis.
We're looking at:
💥 What Uranus in Taurus just finished demolishing and transmuting in your chart.
⚡ What Uranus in Gemini is about to rewire and revolutionize for the next seven years.
🌊 The part of your life the Sun in Cancer is currently flooding with feelings and a deep need for emotional nourishment.
🐐 And finally, the specific area the Capricorn Full Moon is hitting with its harsh, clarifying, and structural light, demanding attention and adjustment.
♈ Aries: The Warrior Builds a Home & a Legacy
For seven long years, Uranus ran a riot through your 2nd House of Money, turning your finances and self-worth into a volatile crypto market. Now that electric chaos moves into your 3rd House of Communication, preparing to hotwire your brain with genius-level ideas and rebellious opinions. It’s like quitting a soul-crushing but high-paying job just so you could have the time to finally write that punk zine that's been screaming in your head. I have friends like that. I'm a friend like that.
And while your mind is on fire, the current Cancer season has your heart turning inward, bringing up a deep need for emotional security in your 4th House of Home and Roots. But tomorrow's Capricorn Full Moon blasts your 10th House of Career and Public Reputation with its harsh, clarifying light.
This is a major culmination point, a moment where your ambition and public identity are under review. Put on a suitable playlist (I recommend: "My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)" by Neil Young for its raw, electric, and honest take on legacy and the courage to burn out rather than fade away), crack open your journal, and see what comes up when you ask yourself:
- How does my ambition feel in my body right now? Is it a fire in my belly or a weight on my shoulders?
- What is the one "unprofessional" truth about myself that I need to integrate into my public life to feel whole?
- If my career was a fortress, what part of it is built on solid rock, and what part is just a flimsy facade?
- What's the most dangerous, brilliant, and unsaid idea in your head right now & what would happen if you let it off its leash?Journal it out, write a short story about that potential storyline in your life. What genre is the story?
