On the Gemini Full Moon, the End of Year Astrology & Why This Month Is About Dropping the Shit You Were Never Meant to Carry
“Reality is the leading cause of stress for those in touch with it.” — Jack Wagner
So. Here we are. Again. December: the final chapter, the boss level, the season finale of a year that already felt like scripted by a bored archangel trying to give us all a “growth experience” none of us exactly signed up for - and to be darkly absurd about it. I am not entertained!
Whatever history will someday label as “The Story of 2025” has only one more month to reveal its plot twist, deliver its prophecy or at the very least give us a narrative arc that doesn’t resemble a prelude to the end of days. (Spoiler alert: if you dared to peak at the 2026 astrology, you understand that this past septic tank explosion of a year was always meant to be just a launchpad, right?)
November felt like drowning in a vat of psychic brine of Scorpionic waters thick with leaked secrets, back-alley betrayals, receipts and revelations we wish we could unsee. It was that special kind of descent where you hit what you think is rock bottom of conspiracy rabbits holes… only for the floor to snap open like some hellmouth trapdoor, revealing a whole new cave system of delusions and collective psychosis underneath.
Speaking of psychosis -
can someone, anyone, alert the medical professionals and arrange some kind of interdimensional wellness check for Candace Owens?
Because… what the actual fuck.
How are we as a society, as a species, as allegedly sentient beings just sitting here watching people’s mental breakdowns unfold in real time like it’s prestige television?
How did public unravellings popularized by Kanye become entertainment?
That’s some late-stage Neptune-in-Pisces dystopia right there: chaos as content, delusion as currency, everyone doom-scrolling and scrapbooking their idea of the world from 10 seconds video clips that are 90 percent AI and 10 percent fascist incels with a wifi.
Thank every shimmering cosmic power that Neptune is finally dragging its soggy, hallucinatory ass out of Pisces and entering Aries in early 2026. Because this anti-social media era of alternative facts, faux-gurus, algorithmic rage baiting and parasocial collapse needs a full evolutionary upgrade. A spiritual hard reboot.
November was the drowning.
December is the coming up for air.
December is what happens when the emo tide spits us out like shipwrecked mystics..we stagger onto the shore coughing seawater and shadow work, pockets full of soggy tarot cards, realizing:
Oh. There’s a mountain. And apparently… we’re climbing it.
We go through Water to Fire (Sagittarius) and just as we dry, the Universe is asking us to commit to some earthy pragmatism of Capricorn season… But first, we have to survive the Gemini Full Moon and a Sagittarius season that has zero chill and no patience for hypocrisy.
The world right now is giving dumpster fire behind an artisanal bakery, the heat of a blazing inferno & scent of chaos mingling with cinnamon. Exhaustion & fried nervous system but also some feral hope that truth will actually out? Cinnamon scented hope aside, chances are you’re on edge, half feral, half hopeful, fully overstimulated.
December does offer a reason to keep going… a real one, not the toxic positivity kind.
But it asks for something in exchange:
Sobriety.
I mean sobriety of soul.
Waking up from the dream.
Unhooking from the narrative you were fed.
Choosing with sharp, crystalline clarity what is true for you, and what must burn.
This month is the crossing.
Air to Fire to Earth.
Mind to Will to Form.
Thought to Choice to Reality.
Let’s fucking go!

December’s Portal: Walk In a Fool, Walk Out an Adult
On the very first morning of the month, Venus kicks off her stilettos, leaves the Scorpionic BDSM dungeon and sprints tits out and screaming into Sagittarius. Thank every benevolent deity. After weeks of obsessive “what even are we?” conversations, mutual trauma dumping and analyzing your partner’s breathing patterns for signs of betrayal, the collective suddenly wants… air. We want space. We want possibility. We want to run across a meadow like Julie Andrews except with more eyeliner, more sex appeal, more swearing & more (consensual) humping.
Venus in Sag is the moment you realize you’ve been living in a psychological escape room and the door was unlocked the whole time.
This creates a feral craving for freedom. It’s a “How far can we take this joyride before someone calls the authorities?” relational optimism with a side of relational chaos. One minute you’re planning a trip to Portugal because you “just need perspective” and the next you’re seriously contemplating burning your life down and moving to Japan & teach English (congrats genius, how original) because your boss asked you to update your Zoom profile picture for something more professional and less your cat.
But beneath the comedy, this transit is about truth. With Venus and soon Mercury moving through the sign of the Cosmic Sniper, the Truth-Teller, everything dredged up in the Scorpio swamp is now blasted into daylight with a philosophical bazooka.
It’s giving whistleblower energy. It’s giving “we have the receipts” and the receipts are laminated. The collective is starving for honesty, not performance. Queue in the results of NY mayoral race. The fakery of 2025’s grift has reached saturation point. Neptune is readying to leave artifice for simple honesty, truth & an inspired action aligned with both (Pisces to Aries) & Venus with Mercury in Sagittarius are ready to deliver on those.
The early days of December build toward one of the most unhinged Full Moons of the year. December 4–5 brings a Full Moon in Gemini at 13 degrees aka the brain playing a highlight reel of all your worst decisions & public humiliations at 3 AM while you stare at the ceiling wishing for a factory reset.
The medicine of this moon is brutal honesty delivered through mental overload. If your brain feels like it’s breaking, congratulations. You are losing the part of your mind that has been lying to you.
It’s the moment you discover your “gluten intolerance” was actually just anxiety from dating a narcissist or that the reason you’re tired isn’t iron deficiency but an emotional labor for people who don’t deserve you.
This Full Moon activates a Grand Cross with the Nodes of Fate, which is astrologer-speak for: You are at a crossroads. You can’t bullshit your way out. The wheel of destiny is grinding. Your inner ear is tuning into frequencies you don’t usually hear. Telepathy vibes. Psychic downloads. Weird-ass dreams (premonitions?).. It’s disorienting, but it’s also the hinge on which December turns.
Once the lunar static clears, the cosmos gives us a moment of clarity.. Mercury in the final degrees of Scorpio spends December 6–7 solving the case. This is the detective montage: the scene where the protagonist walks through the dimly lit corridor, assembling clues, connecting dots, realizing the monster in the shadows is actually someone they’ve known all along. And he’s a president of the US! The puzzle pieces click. Emotional intelligence rises from the wreckage. You get it now.
On December 15–16, two massive shifts hit: Mercury exits its retrograde shadow, officially closing the November story arc, and Mars enters Capricorn.
This is the great sobriety of the month. Mars in Capricorn enters the room & suddenly the tantrums stop. The strategy begins. Everything becomes serious in a refreshing way.. like realizing you don’t have to be chaotic to be powerful. Like screaming insults at journalists will not divert from facts any longer.
Privately, mid-month brings the energy of deleting dating apps not because you’re depressed, but because you’re too busy building something real. It’s the vibe of looking at your bank account and instead of weeping, you light a candle, make a plan, invoke the goetic spirit of Bune and suddenly feel ten feet tall (real story and I will never look back!) It’s the realization that discipline is liberation. And so you start climbing. Slowly. Steadily. With a ruthlessness that scares even you a little.
But December isn’t done. Just when you think you’ve stabilized, the New Moon in Sagittarius hits on December 19. This is late-degree Sag, ruled by Saturn & smelling like overwork and heroic stubbornness. This lunation feels like insisting on carrying all twelve grocery bags in one trip because you’re not making two, even though your fingers are blue and you’re walking sideways. Slip disk alert! It asks: What responsibilities aren’t yours? Why are you carrying the emotional furniture of six different people? And also: Which burdens have you finally grown strong enough to handle with grace, not resentment?
As the final week of December unfolds, the Sun and Venus join Mars in Capricorn (December 21 and 24). The vibe becomes unmistakably adult. Sober. Clear. No delusion, no distraction, no existential melodrama. The holidays might be chaotic, but the undercurrent is calm. Grounded. This might just be the year the family won’t fall out over the festive dinner, or it will break down with freeing finality.
The sense that 2026 isn’t going to tolerate the bullshit you tolerated in 2025.
This ending of the year is not soft. It’s not gentle. It’s not dreamy. It’s the moment after the storm where you realize the ground beneath you is still solid. The first sight of THE STAR’s guiding light after the dust of THE TOWER that fell on your head settles.
It’s the month we get sober from the compulsive attachment to drama, pain, lies, coping mechanisms, and people who can’t show up. December is here to strengthen you. Because what’s coming next requires spine, strategy and soul.
So we walk out of the water, through the fire, and into the earth.
We’re building now.
And building requires truth.
And truth requires some sort of a reckoning.
December is that reckoning. Feral, honest, hilarious, painful, clarifying and absolutely necessary.
