I first met Gert, the pink stag, in a little shop on Charing Cross. I remember (whilst admiring Gert and getting to know each other) being approached by a cute young black guy. He did a couple of robotic movements and said in a robotic voice: “I-am-a-robot..” and than appologized for being lame.

I am still not sure if that was him attempting flirt or what exactely was going on in his head, but of one thing I am sure: little did he know, that ROBOT is actually a czech word first ever used by a czech writer Karel Capek. That, and the contact lenses, that is our gift to the world!
