Okay, real tea..forget the Libra way - the ‘everything is fine’ shouted from within a room that’s set on fire..HOW ARE YOU DOING? It’s ok if you can’t answer honestly without choking up a bit, it just means you’re a person who’s alive in this particularly dark and absurd time in our shared history.
The AI written sequel to my beloved Practical Magic just premiered and I find it being an exact and uncanny reflection of the vibe: an undercooked, unnecessary, surface-level, quasi-girl power and sisterhood will see us through type of pacifier wrapped in a soft-filter that makes everyone look twelve. Very Libra coded.
This autumn won’t be cozy though. And the sisterhood alone won’t do shit against AI.
Every other week there's a headline about it possibly ending human civilization outright, and every other week there's also a very obvious incentive for the companies building it to keep that narrative on a boil, because "our product might end the world" turns out to be extremely good marketing claim about a power of your product, as investors start asking hard questions about whether the whole AI boom is a bubble getting ready to pop the way every bubble eventually does.
And so the evil nerds hysterically ram the fucking AI into everything to make it hard for us to envision a reality in which we don’t pay for it.
2003, dorm room: Zuckerberg builds a website to rate women’s faces because women wouldn’t look twice at his.
2026: same fucking guy is selling millions of men glasses that secretly record women and hand the footage to strangers to judge online, plus an AI pendant for the ones who’d rather have a robot companion than deal with an actual human. Because it’s always fucking been this, from the inception to this latest maniacally evil and incomprehensibly banal iteration of it.
Libra is conflict avoidant. But conflict, my dears, have stretched itself over everything that is life currently. And life, even at its shittiest, cannot be avoided.
Once again, the ‘as above so below’ alignment of celestial happenings with our lived experience down here on the material plane could not be more on-the-nose. In the US, 2026 Libra Season would host the grand finale lead up to what is undeniably the most important election cycle of our times.
You already know how much of what you see, believe, and get shown about your own choices is brazenly steered by a couple of men with more money and more servers than any democracy should ever let one person hold. If Thiel or Musk do their dirty and dark algorithm magic to rig it towards far right again, this could be also the last free elections we ever have.
Germany just watched its far-right party take a real, terrifying step toward power in a state election this month, the kind of result that made the entire European political establishment go quiet for a second.
So no, this Libra Season, we can’t play nice, we can’t remain balanced, undecided, neutral like a fucking Switzerland.
Libra shows up September 22 and instead of bringing herbal tea and a blankets, she throws a molotov cocktail in shape of Aries Full Moon. This year the balance, Libra style, is savage. And she’s making real decisions about what gets to survive this.
So I wrote this workbook because a horoscope is fine but it doesn’t do the actual work for you, and neither do I most days if I’m honest, but this is me at least trying.
