What the Dark Keeps: A Leo-Pisces Eclipse Meditation

This summer’s been extremely loud.

Sometimes the scream comes as a never-ending to-do list squatting our nervous systems, prodded and fried by heat wave after heat wave. Sometimes it’s the scream of an evening lost to a doomscroll, the scream of increasingly stupid and increasingly dark headlines that we get to scream about at each other, no matter if you’re team hope or a team dread.

Cue in the deafening scream of bills demanding to be paid, rent being due and veggies you swore up and down you’d turn into a delicious meal that nurtures both yourself and your loved ones, grew fuzzy in the fridge. Ready made TV dinner it is than. Again.

This does not feel like a Leo Season and I’ll tell you why.. yes, the fucking eclipses.

All of this super activating, mega triggering noise is being amplified within an eclipse corridor (we walk it from a Total Solar Eclipse in Leo on the 12th until a Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on the 28th), so one would not to be blamed if one somehow forgot to pause, put the hands down from their ears and ask themselves the most important question:

What do you actually feel like underneath it all, and I mean when you’re alone, stripped of the costume(s) that allow you to be a part of a tribe, part of a friend group, part of a work collective, part of cosplaying a functioning adult?

Because that costume, or at least the parts of it that are too tight, that are itchy, that are beyond stitching back together, is being demanded as an effigy to burn under these eclipses, for some of us, the whole structurally unsafe theater building will go with it. Such is the shit that eclipses deal.

And the worst part is - retrospectively - we always get to see how this particular sacrifice turned out to be so great and so crucial for our next evolution… and it’s like - are we meant to now fucking love the chaos and desolation that these astrological purge masters unleash?

I think of the Leo New Moon / Total Solar Eclipse on the 12th August as an opening act to a whole new theater production, that will unfold throughout the next 18 months. That’s because the lunar nodes recently shifted into Leo (South Node aka what we’re releasing) and Aquarius (that’s Lunar Node aka where we’re trying to get), providing a sort of blueprint or a mission statement for the collective and for our individual narrative pivot.

I go into this in obsessive details and investigate how the August transits write themselves into your rising sign’s story here:

Leo Season 2026 : The Quiet Scandal of Being Yourself
Why the August eclipses blow the roof right the fuck off the house you’ve been hiding in and how Jupiter plans on pulling you out into the burning light. “It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.” - Edmund Hillary (July 22 - August 22) The performance is over. For

The last time we got to embody this Leo/Aquarius axis, most of us were still figuring out how to use MySpace, so what gets cracked open on the 12th will not just be buried under a new slew of bizarre geo-political developments next Thursday.

What comes up is a narrative gravitational point around which other side quest and plot twist will be revolving for more than a year to come.

A lot of it will be about performative ego-first, authentic heart-centered voice last type of posturing, that dominated our social (media) spaces, our politics and sadly often also our one-to-one, human-to-human interactions. Some of this play-acting is getting unsustainably hammy and the Leo Eclipse will not be subtle about pointing that out and drawing curtains on the theatricals, the made up characters that run out of lines, the always lying impostor syndrome that keeps you from fully shinning even in the rooms you feel were built for other people, the storylines that feel inauthentic to who we’ve become whilst the production was already in motion.

And yes, because 2026 has a keen sense of what seems a recreational cruelty, but really is just a zero interest in letting us catch a breath, just 16 days later, the sky serves a second eclipse in Pisces, so whatever cracks appeared in our ego two weeks ago, the walls on that particular performance will get dissolved and the stage washed by the Piscean waters.

Leo will crack us open. What feels like an eclipse wound will unstitch itself and Pisces healing waters will wash away the infection within. That’s the corridor. That is the whole ride.

At its absolute core, this wild-ass portal is just aggressive and relentless love slap from the universe forcing you to burn down the fake shit, forgive your exhausted self and fucking remember already the blinding light you’re capable of, you radiant, unstoppable weirdo!

So cry the ugly tears, scream into your pillow, take up ALL THE space and let the cosmos remake you. We are way too magnificent to keep playing small in a universe this big.

What the Dark Keeps: A Leo-Pisces Eclipse Meditation

is my extended hand. I am walking through this corridor of kaka with you, the whole of humanity is, but sometimes it’s good when someone gently grabs and squeeze your hand - not to guide you out of the dark, but to let you know that you’re not here alone.

I designed this journey to serve no matter which point between (or even in the days leading to) August 12th and the Pisces lunar eclipse at the end of the month, you choose to enter the eclipse hallway. Together, in the dark, we’ll consider what

Bring your headphones and your unedited and filter free self, the one that lives under the mask and the costume that allows you to safely exist within certain rooms, whilst your soul is quietly screaming in the corner. Leave that shit at the corridor entrance. No one can see you naked in the dark anyway.
